Details: Southwood Interventions provides residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment programs as well as medical detoxification for adult males and females and juveniles. Specialized services include medical detoxification and day reporting through BI. Programming is based on cognitive-behavioral team approach to treatment and case management. A multi-disciplinary team consisting of specially trained physicians, nurses, certified clinicians, a vocational counselor and recreation therapist care for clients. Medically Monitored Detoxification Program. Counseling, education, relapse and aftercare groups are provided and the emphasis is on linking clients to the next level of care. In its residential programs, Southwood has the capacity to serve up to 116 residents.The 24-bed residential unit is one of only two in Chicago that operates outside a hospital. Patients are monitored 24 hours a day by a physician and team of nurses.
